Congratulations: Australia win Bronze Medals!

The 22nd International Young Physicists Tournament was recently held in Tianjin, China. The Australian Team was:
Suzanne Scott
David Yap
Daniel Kim
Jessica Morton
and Tom Alcorn.
With Team Leaders Mr P O'Neill & Ms K Zealand

The team started very well and were lying 2nd after two rounds, before finishing in eigth position and winning Bronze Medals. This continues the excellent record of Australia at IYPT finishing eleventh or better in all of the last ten years, including winning in 2007.

2. IYPT Australia Problems 2010 Released

The problems were released at a session of the Brisbane Girls Grammar School Centre for Science Research and teachers from a number of Brisbane and Gold Coast schools attended. The selected problems were discussed and video of these talks is available to all teams entering the competition ..........IYPT Australia Problems 2010

The 23rd International Young Physicists Tournament will be held in July 2010 in Vienna, Austria. Qualify via IYPT Australia.

The 8th IYPT Australia Challenge will be held in March 2010 at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Brisbane.

3. JYPT

The first Junior Young Physicists' Tournament has been announced and will be held in 2010.

The problems have been released (see JYPT page) and schools should pre-register asap.
