Video to help you understand IYPT

The video and sample presentations relate to previous Australian competitors but links to other sites allow other nations work to be seen.

The 2009 IYPT Australia Final featured three teams from two Brisbane Schools: Brisbane Girls Grammar School and Brisbane Grammar School.

The video is obviousy not professionally produced or edited. It was chosen to show a typical physics fight.

The first stage of the final is recorded in a series of four videos to show the process of the fight. The Stage was repeated two more times with the other teams presenting their solutions to two other problems. The team from Brisbane Grammar School won!

The selected stage is not presented as a perfect example. It was felt that this fight illustrates the nature of the competition including the flaws a student will make. The three key people in this stage did not end up in the Australian Team.

Stage 1 - Introduction and Cathy Palmer (BGGS1) presents
